Happy Chinese New Year 2025

 Dear all,

Happy Lunar Chinese New Year to all. My hope for that everyone in the year of snake is to stay healthy, go for annual medical checkup if possible (I know many of you are scare but having an annual checkup help to tackle any medical problem when they are still small and manageable) and also to have a happy life.

I had my reunion dinner on 28 Jan 2025 in a Teochew restaurant at 8.30pm. My poor memory told me that it was 8pm. So we were early for an hour. The food was not that fantastic and we paid $1,400 for it. Not a good deal if you asked me.

My first day of Lunar Chinese New Year was spend between visiting my in laws and my parents. It was a worthwhile time to spend time with parents from both sides. On the second day of the Lunar Chinese New Year, we went to a buffet restaurant called Embu which was the former Melt World Cafe. The place was re-done and rename. I was pleased to learn that the food quality was way better than before. While it is more expensive than JW Marriott which we ate on the last week during my birthday. It was totally worth it.

On financial matters, while my multi-sector income fund declared the dividend, it will take time for them to maternalise it. I will do an update once I received the actual payout. For my Pimco Income Fund with Syfe, I had finally invested $5,600 into the account. That would meant that I can withdraw the cash dividend from the fund rather than to reinvest it. Even through I will still be re-investing the dividend received into Pimco Income Fund, I want to know how much am I receiving as dividend instead of them investing into it without me knowing about it.

P.s. Not a financial advice. Please treat this as the rambling of an middle age uncle.
