Some troubles looming ahead.

Dear all,

As I am progressing into the sixth month of my journey, it is becoming increasingly more and more difficult for me in my career. Things are getting more and more tight as we are shorthanded while workload increases. I am feeling the pressure especially with the crazy workload, toxic people, and terrible work culture with an disagreement in the general management direction. I am more than likely to look for a job change and a side income career. 

 


 Right now, I am going to make plans on it. Not sure where it would bring me but I am not going to sit around with the additional stress driving in. It is not worth it when I am planning for my eventual retirement. 

In term of investment, I will like to think that I am in the right direction. I will need more time to get the dividends and for the dividends with any extra resources to be invested into my portfolio and let it grow. I will give an update on my 1H 2025 investment amount and dividend received once I received my dividend from my Multi-Sector Income Fund.

 Dear all,   I went to the inclusive career fair held at Raffles Place Wework Office on 21 Jun 2025.  While the career fair was held for LGBTQ in mind, I registered to go to the fair with the intentions to find out if there are any job opportunities for people with conditions such as cancer survivors, cancer patients or people who need special care (i.e. dialysis).   I went in with an open mind not knowing what to expect. I waited patiently at 9.50am and was surprised to see many people waiting patiently for the registration for the events. There was security check and the security personnel were very pleasant and professional in their job. I waited patiently for my turn for the registration. My 45th birthday and an update on my monthly individend.

Hi all,  I just realised that I had been everywhere in the blog. I am not a professional blogger or I am selling anything so I do not think about what I want to post till I am right in front of the computer. Perhaps I should do better planning in the days ahead.  Talking about planning. I think I should set targets but let me sit on it first. My Syfe Pimco Fund was transferred from other Syfe accounts and was fully invested. It seemed to take a week from the transfer of the fund to the purchase of the units in Syfe. To gain monthly dividends payout from the Pimco fund, I would need to invest at least $5,000 into it. Plus the $570 fund invested this week, I had invested about $4,200 into the fund. Yet to see or hear anything about the dividend yet. I will be pushing another $1,000 into the account so that I could get to see the cash dividends. Happy 2025 and a new road ahead

Hi all,  Happy 2025 to everyone who may read the post now or in the future. This is the first blog I have which I find mean and purpose in. 2024 was not a happy year for me. From a regular check up, the scan found a 5.1cm nodule which turned out to be a thyroid cancer. It was a stage 1 thyroid cancer whereby I underwent a surgery and radioactive iodine treatment. All my cancer cells were successfully removed. What is left would be regular clinic visits and blood tests. With the help of my insurance agent, I was able to make full claim on my early critical illness payouts. It is a nice amount of money even through it is not going to make me rich to retire for good. It was early Dec 2024 when I received the payouts after much questions from the underwriters but I got it. My thyroid cancer was stage 1 so I am healthy to go back to the workforce almost immediately. I sat on the money and started to look at ways I could spend the money.
